About J L Collins
The love of art and music has sustained Jimmy throughout his life. Since he was a young boy in South Carolina he loved to draw and paint, especially people and animals. For the last 35 years Jimmy has specialized in graphite equine art. Through his wife's contacts in the North Carolina equine scene he has been able to accept commissions from horse owners on the many farms in the area. While specializing in pencil portraits of horses, pets, and children, Jimmy also accepts commissions for pastel and oil portraiture, and in recent years has taken up plein air painting.
